Yes, all children must tryout, even those players on a current FCB team.
My child is home sick and will not be able to attend practice, who should I call?
Your Team Manager should be notified if your child is unable to attend a practice or game. Team Managers keep attendance. Please do not call the FCB office. Talk to you manager about making up the practice within the week your child misses.
It is raining out and my child has practice, what should I do?If you do not hear from your Team Manager that means practice is on. The Head Travel Trainer will make a decision at 2:00pm; if practice is cancelled the Team Manager will be notified and will call all their players. You may also check the Website at BASASoccer@Ameritech.Net Please do not call the FCB office. Your child will practice in the rain; practice will be called off for lightning and sometimes if there has been a large amount of rainfall.
Does the trainer stay with the same team each year?
The Director of Coaching assigns the trainer to teams each year. The Head Trainer looks at scheduling and what assignments will work best for the Program as a whole. Trainers will have a maximum of 2 years with the same team.
Will my child be on the same team next year?
There is no guarantee your child will be on the same team. At many age levels there are multiple teams and the make-up of teams are not guaranteed to stay the same year-to-year. All players will try-out and the Director of Coaching will decide the best make-up of the teams.
I have a concern about my child’s playing time, who should I first talk to?
This concern should first be directed at the team Trainer. It is the responsibility of the trainer to document all concerns and attempt to resolve them. If a trainer is unable to resolve the issue, the concern will be brought to the Director of Coaching. If the Trainer is not responsive, the Director of Coaching should be contacted immediately
Does my child need to attend all tryout dates?
Yes players must attend all tryout dates for his/her age level.
