Grade 9 Details
Grade 9 is the most basic referee certification offered to referees. This course is being offered as an entry clinic to current BASA Referees that do not have a Grade 8 certification, and for previous Grade 9 Referees as the required yearly refresher. To clarify Grade 9 is a level of certification offered to referees and does not reflect their age.

As a Grade 9 referee, you will be certified to officiate recreational games and to be an Assistant Referee on travel games up to U14. Grade 9 referees will be assigned as A.R.'s for travel games as needed by BASA, and are also qualified to take part in soccer tournaments as Assistant Referees. Referee's who successfuly complete the Grade 9 certification will recieve a $1.00 increase in their BASA game rate, a patch from the state to be worn on their Referee uniform to show that they are Grade 9 certified, and the $20 clinic fee will be refunded if 12 games are completed for BASA in the Fall 2009 season.

Grade 9 certification, along with any referee certification, must be renewed each year by attending a clinic for the correct certification level. BASA offers the Grade 9 clinic each fall and attendance to this clinic will meet this requirement.
